3 ~ The coronation of Abhiraj

In an very happy kingdom in ancient time:-

Abhiraj pov :-

Mehrangarh.

(Author - I guess you have read this kingdom name many times before too right readers?)

Mehrangarh is an kingdom known for its kindness and generosity. But it is also known for being the power centre of the kingdoms around it and being the most powerful.

It is blessed with prosperity and happiness in every house.

And I being the king makes me feel so happy that this is happening under my rule.

Although I had no idea where I came from, who are my birth parents, what was my past life or anything. I know nothing.

All I remember from when I woke up one day was, I was lying in an fancy bed. And that there were people surrounding me, some looked like maids or attendees and while the ones who were seated on the royal seat looked like they were some important people stressed for something.

But I did not know at that time that they were stressed about me.

Flashbacks hit me from my oldest memory I have, which were just 2 years old.

I looked at my surroundings trying to remember it. And familiarise it. But it did not appear in my brain that I was somewhat related to this place.

That thought made me panic for an unknown reason.

My gaze fell on the people seated on the seats looked distressed. Whether it was my tension or something else. I did not know. Neither did I wanted to know.

I did not remember a single thing. From my past. Who I was? What I was? Where did I come from?

Those thoughts made me exhale a deep breath causing people to look at me. And that made me wonder just how loud I am?

But that was the last thing in my mind then. I had other questions.

First thing which came to my mouth was.

"Who are you all? Who am I?"

They came to me, worry evident in their eyes.

One lady came and sat down beside me. Out of reflex, I backed off. I did not know where I was, who I know or who I was. In that situation, I could not guess if they were my friends of foes. Yeah I don't remember who I am but but I do remember to be cautious like it will help rn.

"We are king and queen of Mehrangarh, son. What language are you speaking? Are you alright?" They asked which seemed like prakrit. Wait how do I know this? I do not even remember myself. Whatever. Suddenly my gaze fell to an bracelet on my wrist. ABHIRAJ was imprinted on the bracelet. I suppose this is my name.

"I am Abhiraj. But why am I here? Do I recognise you all? Who am I?" I asked holding my head. There looks tensed. The lady touched my cheek and said.

"Son, we found at the shore of the river in the Navr van. But how did you end up there? Do you remember anything?"

I shook my indicating no.

"Do you remember your family?" I hesitated before shaking my head again rather nervously. I knew where this was leading. Of me being unknown and maybe misused. But surprisingly, that was not the case, yet. I saw the lady smile.

"Son, you do not know of your family or who you are and how did you end up here. Right?" I nodded. "So Abhiraj, can you become my son?" She hesitated.

"Why?" I managed to ask.

"There is an prophecy that a man, who would be first seen in the Navr van would be the reason for a change in the rules of the world. For a good cause. But no one has ever gone to the Navr van, because of the rumours that the van is shrapit(cursed). I want you to become my son not only for this reason but also because when I saw you unconscious being brought into the palace, my heart ached. Like a mother's does when she sees her child hurt. So tell me, would you because my son, Abhiraj?" She narrated.

I had no one. Atleast right now. And neither do I think I have anyone. Because who would leave their relative in this condition.

I thought as I looked at my injuries. A bandage around my head, which looked grave I am sure. Legs bruised as if it has been abused brutally. Hands feel numb like they have been put pressure on from eternity.

Then I looked up at the lady and smiled. Her face brightened up a little with hope looking at my smile.

"I am ready to be your son."

She hugged me. One more elderly man hugged me with her.

"I am her husband. The king of this land and now your father too." He introduced himself.

Two more people came ahead and introduced themselves.

"I am Vardaan, The soon to be crowned prince. And now your elder brother."

The guy with a bulky body said. I looked at the female standing beside him, waiting for her introduction.

"I am Adisha, The princess. And your younger sister." She smiled

I nodded at them nervously, thinking maybe it is rude. But their smiles made my worry vanish.

"Now you should call me Matashree." The lady-Matashree said.

She points the elderly man. "Him Pitashree."

Then at Vardaan. "Him Bhrata."

Then at Adisha. "Well you can call her by her name only."

"Welcome to our family Bhrata." Adisha said.

I finally came back to my senses after recalling the same day the umpteenth time. I always wondered who are my parents, relatives. Did they abandon me? Why did they, If they did. Am I from here? What is my origin?

Every time I would go deep in these thoughts only to get out empty handed. But this I did not have time to go into the depths of my mind as I was called by Matashree.

I looked at the entrance of my room when I saw Matashree walking in hurriedly.

"What are you doing here? You are supposed to be in the coronation hall. You are going to be one the king today." She said worriedly. She frowned causing her face to form wrinkles.

I laughed and she twisted my ears.

"Mate, Please leave my ear. I was just about to-." She shut me up by cutting my words mid sentence.

"I was just about to enter my process of daydreaming again right." She left my ear and I rubbed my ear.

"No, now don't get angry. Let's go the coronation is just about to start." As soon as she heard that from my mouth, she started dragging me out while I laughed.

We reached the coronation hall. I was outside the hall, waiting to begin a new journey of my life in which people have trusted me to take them alongside me.

I raised my head and I walked in the hall hearing me being summoned, where everyone stood up seeing me coming.

I climbed the low stairs and sat on the throne. The throne which was not made for me. The throne which was once tied to Bhrata. The throne which was once the seat for Pitashree.

Pitashree came forward with the crown that once was there above his head. And looked at with loving eyes. I smiled at him.

He slowly placed the crown on my head. I closed my eyes feeling the weight of the responsibility given to me by the people.

I heard praises falling to my ears and opene

d my eyes to see the court smiling at their new king. Me.
