After getting scolded, I silently ate the food. But then I remembered, "You were going to tell me your problem, were you not? Tell me now, why were you so disturbed that time?"

I saw Aunty and Uncle's face tensing up.

"It was nothing beta, really."

"Ritu." Saanvi simply said.

Ritu huffed, he was going to lose any argument with her and she will eventually know, so no point fighting.

"You remember the land we bought last year?" He said.

"The one which was going to be used for construction?"

He nodded and continued.

"So, two months ago, the previous land owner came and claimed the land was still his and demanded it back. Of course we went to the agent who gave it to us. But he ran away, and 5 days ago, we found finally him. But we just can't figure out who to give this land to. You know already there are three-four papers in the agreement, so the previous owner signed two but not the rest. The agent knew but still gave us the land." Ritu explained.

Saanvi fumed with anger, she had dealt wih these people before. They were really frustrating.

And if you go to the police, they will say, "You should have been more careful." instead of arresting such people.

"Pehle batane me Jaan kyu jal rha tha tumhara bataoge?" Come on, you can guss who said that, can't you.

"Will you tell me why were you not telling me before?"

"Ha toh joh gala phaadhenge yeh log tere jane ke bad, woh tum sunti na?" Have common sense, who might have said that.

"Yeah, and you will listen to their shouting after you go, right?"

"Nahi jarurat hai kisi ko chillane ka kisi pe bhi. Hum tumhare saath chalenge kal. Dekhte hai kon aagaya naya namoona." Saanvi said (bata diya kyuki *shrugs*).

"There is no need for anyone to shout on anyone else. I will go with you tomorrow. Let me see who has come new."

"Like they'll allow." Ritu said under his breath but Saanvi's ears were sharp enough to catch it.

"Oh, they have to. Trust me."

The day went by with people talking with each other and both girls getting princess treatment.

Why do people have to wake up first thing in the morninggggggg. So frustrating yarrrr.

Walking down the stairs, I expected a very joyous sight, but would I get to see it? Of course not!

Uncle, Aunty and Ritu were sitting in the sofa with grim faces.

What is up with these people and them being sad!?

"Ab kya hua hai aap mahan logon ko?" I asked casually.

"Kuch nhi beta, tum uth gyi? Aawaz nhi aai. Ruk, mein khana lagati hu." Aunty said.

There was no way she hadn't heard me coming, unless she had covered her ears very hard because I knew I made a lot of sound.

"Kyu jhuth bol rhi ho yar aunty. Kya mile ga. Wese bhi humko toh sab pata chalna hi hai. Abhi hi bata do baad se accha." I said, a little irritated.

"𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐣𝐡𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐤𝐚𝐡𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐥 𝐫𝐡𝐢 𝐡𝐮𝐧. 𝐇𝐮𝐦 𝐤𝐚𝐡𝐚 𝐚𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐡 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐤𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐤𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐢, 𝐧𝐚𝐡𝐢 𝐭𝐨𝐡. 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐤𝐮𝐥 𝐛𝐡𝐢 𝐧𝐡𝐢." I folded my arms and squinted my eyes when Aunty blurted out the truth.

"𝐔𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐣𝐢 ....? 𝐀𝐚𝐝𝐡𝐚 𝐭𝐨𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐢 𝐠𝐲𝐚 𝐡, 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐛𝐡𝐢 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐝𝐢. 𝐊𝐲𝐮?" I said with a little anger looking towards Uncle.

"That agent ran away again." He said.

"What? That piece of-" I was cut of by Aunty's glare, daring me to say that word.

Just then, Ritu came in saying, "𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐚, 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐤𝐨 𝐮𝐬𝐤𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐲𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐢. 𝐖𝐨𝐡 𝐤𝐚𝐡𝐢 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐧𝐚 𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐚𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐤𝐡𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐢."

"Ok fine then. We shall go there right now." Uncle said to him.

"I am going too." I said and Uncle was just about to say something when I said in a boss lady tone, "And no one is going to object me 𝘰𝘳 try to stop me."

He huffed but said nothing.

𝘏𝘢𝘩, 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.

"What happened, why is everybody gathered here?" Ishu asked while coming in the room.

"Good morning." I greeted her.

"Good morning." She wished me back with a smile.

"Ishu, listen. I am going to Patna for some work." I said.

"Oohhhh, ok." She said, it was normal for me to go to places for buisness reasons. So she didn't really think of it as much.

"And you have to stay here till I come back."

She said, "Gladly". She thought I would come back after a few days, I did too. But little did I know I wouldn't until much, much later.

I went upstairs and because I came here with a packed suitcase, I had not much to pack so I went downstairs within just a few minutes.

I saw Ishu sitting there in the table, so I sat down next to her. She was eating, how could I forget, nothing was important to her more than food.

She never shares, but today she did. I was just watching her, feeling emotional for no given reason. But then she looked up at me, extended a hand towards me and made me take a bite of the Chole Bhature she was eating.

I was shocked. Why wouldn't I be?

I knew I looked at her like she was an alien when she said, "What are you looking at? You don't like to be fed by me?" I think I picked up a hint of sadness in her eyes and voice.

"No, no. That is not- why do you always understand the opposite? I am just shocked, you-you never fed me before." She just resumed eating after that.

But then I thought of something.
