Lying on the pond shore was Saanvi, unconscious. It was 10-15 minutes since she was unconscious, but the slow and chilly wind that was blowing and making her have goosebumps was slowly shaking her to consciousness.
A man eater animal, which wasn't found in these days was roaming not too far away from her.
As Saanvi stirred she heard a low and rough growl, and she didn't feel it was of some humans'.
The water because of which she fainted had gotten her up too, hitting her face ever so slightly.
And it was because of it that Saanvi was saved, before the man eater came and ate her up.
But Saanvi didn't think there was something to worry, afterall she was still in the outskirts of Indore and in the magnet land which suddenly seemed to have too many trees — for her.
Saanvi pov.
I opened my eyes and found myself on the soft land of the shore of the pond.

Anyways, let us get back to the house, oh how I miss it.
But first, relax and stretch a bit.
I stretched my arms and legs, and then lay staring at the sun and sky.
The world looks so much better here!
I feel like I slept through many lifetimes.
Like those afternoon naps, this was so relaxing.
Okay so, these types of ponds have a natural slide for water - and people too, probably - to enter easily.
And it is good; until you need to get out of it with slippery and numb feet 𝘢𝘯𝘥 no will to leave.

(Here, @infiniteinguinity, she started wondering if she is on drugs.)
I just managed to climb out again when I casually looked back, although I am not sure if it was casually or maybe God didn't want me to die today.
I saw a animal, and it looked wild. And by wild I mean really wild!
It was huge for starters, sharp claws and from what I could see, sharp teeth.
And the worst thing, it was angry.
Now don't ask much, I don't remember. I just ran away when I looked at it and thankfully, it was still a little behind me and when it started to come to me after it looked at me, it fell in the steep slide.
And the slide in the other side was deeper than on this side, and the pond was unusually bigger after I came up, or atleast I think so; so he lost some time trying to come up. Honestly, I don't even know if it's a she or a he. Only seeing him/her was enough for me to start running, I would think it's a he though.
I just remembered seeing him and running and then looking back to see him climbing up looking even more terrifying when soaked wet.
The adrenaline in my body shoots up at that and I find myself running faster then I have in probably my whole life.
But who am I kidding? I had no practice whatsoever in running and besides, the one who was chasing me wasn't a human, but an animal himself. A wild one at that.
He was soon at my tails and took a part of clothing in his mouth while targeting for my flesh.
If I could have, I ran faster now.
I spotted a tree nearby, a few more trees identical and that one tree particularly easy it climb.
I did take climbing classes, atleast unprofessional.
From my friends.
But I don't know if it's going to help here or my learning isn't enough.
𝘐𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘦, '𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.
I took a sharp turn towards it and as common it is, he had full brans but little brains.
He went running straight to the direction I was running in, and thankfully, I didn't see it because I would have laughed, angering it even more.
By the the time he realised his target had changed the direction, he, by following my smell probably, came to where I was still climbing the tree.
When he lost some time running in the different direction, I had enough time to get up enough for him to not reach me up.
He was four legged- I mean, four pawed, so it meant if he did, he could reach up and atleast scratch me and drag me down a little if it stood on its hind legs- I mean paws.
And it did, but I fortunately had the sense eno to climb a lot more out of reach of him, that is, if he didn't know how to climb.
Because if he does, consider me a gone case now.
But surprisingly, he didn't. Or maybe isn't that surprising, because God doesn't want me to die, right God? I mean, why else would he make me fall, I mean 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘦 me from the waters.
And why would he let me rest, now that is a geniune thanks to you, God.
And then why would he let a wild animal roam freely in a not too far land from the outskirts of Indore, who was doing heck knows what here.
It is probably in the target list of some Indian National Park, or Sanctuary or something else like that, but I don't have the time to think of it right now.
When he fails miserably after trying to get me down, he wanders for a little while near the tree and soona starts to leave.
And hen he leaves, I am just beginning to climb down the tree and then my leg slips. Again.
Actually, it wasn't leg slipping, I would call it leg stopped.
You know that hole in the trunk of the tree? Yeah, it had those.
Just not too big, one little, probably, dent in trunk and smooth in the up and down parts again.
It was one little deep structure, just one. That too, very small.
But still, I tripped over it and fell.
Did I mention that animals, especially wild — I got to know that now — have a incredible listening frequency.
They hear what we humans' ears are too underdeveloped to hear.
And the wild animal did too, so he came running back.
Don't dare think he helped me, he isn't the frog Prince after all.
(Yes it's me, the author - I am barely awake while writing this so........... Consider the chapter off for the following few days, the next ones. And signing off here for now.)
(Hey, it's me again - I came back, I was really just going to sleep but then my mother came in and told me to hitti bed after I sleep and started watching CID, so the sleep vanished. Also, I apologise for any grammar or spelling mistake, it has gone unnoticed.)
He jumped on me and I am still not sure if I am thankful for falling down or not.
Because if I am thankful that I am not standing because I would have fallen face-first, with the amount of force he put, in the ground or mud I would say.
Or maybe I am not thankful because if I were standing, I could take off somewhere a little further than him if I had a lead already. Which I would have, of course, but if I didn't fall to the ground.

I can almost hear my brain protesting for that, saying even though it is thinking nonsense, it is doing everything in its power to help me.
An di won't deny it, atleast not now.
Because if I do, maybe I'll die before he - the animal - kills me.
I don't clearly remember what happened and what I did, but I know that I had just managed to turn its body over when an arrow lodged itself right below the animals' heart.
-----------
She's alive, yes.
But who's that who saved her? Any guesses?
